Two years ago I left
my hometown in upstate New York to start a new life and a new career in Seattle, Washington. I did not have a place
to stay nor a job lined up. I did have confidence in myself however and I landed my first job at Wells Fargo Financial
as a Credit Manager. At Wells Fargo I wore many hats. I became the insurance captain for our branch and
I founded many new business relationships with clients by cross selling products; especially real estate secured consolidation
loans. I was employee of the month and became the branch Notary Public.
In past activities at
SUNY College at Fredonia, academics were extremely important to me. However,
I did not limit my time to focus solely on my grades. Please take a moment to read
the bullets below which list some of the major activities/responsibilities I participated in.
·
In the American Marketing Association I have held
both the executive vice president title, as well as president. Three years ago I
brought our AMA chapter to New York City for an E-commerce conference at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Two years ago, I took our chapter to Orlando Florida to be part of the 24th annual AMA
Collegiate Conference. We also competed in the Proctor & Gamble sposored Pringles
case competition in New Orleans!
·
I was the Director of Marketing for the Business
Club. In fall 2002 I participated in running the snack shack, which is a convenience
store located in the Business Department building. I even organized a trip to New
York City where we were able to tour the floor of the stock exchange!
· Through SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) I have been flying all over
the country to compete in national competitions. In April 2003 our team won the Championship trophy for
our award winning presentation in Cleveland Ohio. We then went on to compete in the
National SIFE Competition in Kansas City.
